• How much do you charge? - I'm sure you want the best party possible for your child, right? After all, who doesn't want a fun and memorable party? That's why I offer several unique party packages to better fit your specific needs.

  Just so I don't recommend a show that isn't right for you (and therefore give a quote that isn't right for you), please select from the following options:

• How far do you travel? - I'll travel to the following areas in Maryland:
  • Baltimore City
  • Baltimore County
  • Harford County
  • Westminster

• How much space do you need? - After 30 years, I have learned to BE FLEXIBLE! Only about an 8' x 4' space is needed, a typical living room setting works just fine. I can perform just about anywhere.
  
  
• Where can I find party decorations and supplies with a magic theme? - When guests arrive, you want them to know that it's time to party and have fun! Birthday In A Box gets nothing but rave reviews from birthday party moms all around the country and I fully endorse just about anything they produce (piñatas, plates, napkins, cups, decorations, favors, etc.)

• Do you do outdoor performances? - Most birthday performers, including myself, will do their show outside upon request. However, speaking from experience, I don't usually recommend it. With children (and adults too!), it's important to keep distractions to a minimum. Outdoors, no one can predict a sudden breeze which blows away a prop, shifting shade, or a fly-by bumble bee.

  Distractions of any kind can really diminish the flow of the presentation and the quality of the experience. Truthfully, 98% of the time these things never even happen. It's up to you whether or not you want to have an outdoor magic show.

  If you do decide on an indoor magic show, you can still have the rest of the party outside.

• What age groups do you perform for? - My specialty is entertaining a family audience. (Any group of children with some adults possibly present as well.) Over the last 30 years performing for different age groups, I have learned how to carefully create different programs and performance styles that are age appropriate. What a three year-old thinks is funny, is much different from what a seven year-old thinks is funny.

  So while I work for children ages 3 through 9, each day the show is a little different in order to maximize the fun for the audience. For details on the main program formats, click the links below:

• How can I be sure the magician will show up? - When you schedule your performance, we will send you a confirmation either by mail or by email. With the confirmation, you'll have every assurance that I'll arrive and I'll arrive on time.

• Do I have to tip the performer? - While tipping is not required, if you really want to show your appreciation for a particularly fantastic show, Professor Horn will certainly not deny tips. As far as how much to tip? Anything between $5 and $75 is appropriate.
