1. Does the entertainer have plenty of experience entertaining children?
2. Can the entertainer provide references from within the past month?
3. Is the program age appropriate? (Don't hire a clown for 8 year olds, and if you're hiring a magician for a 3 year-old, make sure he has worked for that age group before.) It's best to ask the entertainer what age they work for before you tell them the age of the birthday child.
